Pyrenees Stage Run 2020: ready for 7 dream days in the mountains?

22 Οκτ 2019

Stage races are a form of active tourism that allows you to visit a big geographic area, in a totally organized way and also, accompanied by people with the same values and objectives as you; this results in a special connection with the rest of the participants and a unique experience. With this objective, the Pyrenees Stage Run was born in 2016, a race in teams of 2 or 3 people and in a spectacular place such as the Pyrenees. The organization takes care of everything during the race days so that all of the participants only have to worry about running and enjoying the journey, as they transport the luggage between the stages, prepare the food stations and manage the accommodation and diets of the runners.

The first four editions have served to constantly grow in number of participants and adapt the route to host 123 participants (58 teams) last September 2019, 85% of which are coming from countries far from Spain, like Australia, Venezuela, Argentina, United States or Canada, with most runners coming from Germany, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

On Monday, November 4, registration will open for the 5th edition of the Pyrenees Stage Run that will take place from August 30 to September 5, 2020, following a route of 240km and 15000m uphill, distributed in 7 stages passing by villages, cols, lakes and emblematic peaks of the Catalan and Andorran Pyrenees.

The same team also organizes the Costa Brava Stage Run, with two possible routes, one of 85km and another of 125km distributed in 3 stages and following the coast of the Costa Brava from South to North. The 3rd edition of the Costa Brava Stage Run will be held from April 24 to 26, 2020. Registration is open since last June and almost half of the available spots have already been sold.
